First Look at Chun-Li in the STREET FIGHTER Movie
After weeks of exciting character reveals, fans are finally getting a peek at Chun-Li in the upcoming Street Fighter live-action movie.
Comedian and actor Andrew Schulz, who plays Dan, shared a behind-the-scenes shot of Callina Liang on set as the legendary martial artist. While her full costume is still under wraps, the photo teases Chun-Li’s unmistakable look with her iconic hairstyle and the studded blue collar that longtime fans will instantly recognize.
The small details suggest that this version of Chun-Li may be leaning closer to her Street Fighter 2 design, rather than the more ornate style seen in Street Fighter 5 and later games. It’s a subtle nod that could please fans who have been waiting for a faithful big-screen representation of the character.
The post also gave us another look at Noah Centineo as Ken, rocking a hairstyle pulled straight from his Street Fighter 5 appearance. Between Ken’s updated look and Chun-Li’s classic styling, it’s becoming clear that the filmmakers are committed to honoring Capcom’s long-running fighting franchise.
Of course, the big question is whether the movie will deliver beyond appearances. As the saying goes, “the proof is in the Hadouken pudding,” but visually, this adaptation is already shaping up to be one of the most faithful Street Fighter projects we’ve seen.
Other teases have included a shadowy glimpse of Cody Rhodes as Guile and Noah Centieno as Ken. The ensemble cast is stacked with familiar faces, including Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, WWE’s Roman Reigns as Akuma, and David Dastmalchian as M. Bison.
The Street Fighter movie hits theaters on October 16, 2026, and with every reveal, anticipation keeps building. If the authenticity on display so far is any indication, fans could be in for something pretty cool.
