First Look at Daredevil’s New Costume Redesign for DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 3
There’s already plenty for Marvel fans to look forward to with the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, and now there’s one more reason the conversation is heating up.
A fresh look at Charlie Cox wearing Daredevil’s latest MCU costume has surfaced, giving fans their first glimpse at another redesign for the Man Without Fear.
As you’d expect, the reaction online has been all over the place. Some fans were hoping Marvel would finally lean into a fully comic-accurate red suit, while others think this updated version is exactly the kind of evolution the character needed.
Even though the changes are fairly subtle compared to the costume Matt Murdock wore in Season 2, there are enough tweaks for eagle-eyed fans to pick apart every detail.
One thing that many viewers seem to agree on is that the redesign actually fits where Matt is in the story. Since he’s only recently gotten out of prison, it makes sense that he’d still be working with his existing gear instead of showing up with an entirely new costume.
One fan on X summed up that side of the debate by saying: “I don’t give a single sht about comic accuracy. This looks f*cking awesome. Not just the color composition, but they made it less armored,”
Others aren't convinced. A vocal group of fans is still hoping Marvel eventually embraces Daredevil’s signature all-red comic book appearance. One fan shared exactly what they’d like to see happen next:
“I’m assuming it’s gonna lead towards the full suit becoming fully red at some point, I do hope the suit becomes less armored like & more cloth-like if that makes sense, remove all the black lines & just have the entire suit be fully red.”
Whether the new costume wins everyone over or not, it’s only one piece of what’s shaping up to be an exciting new season.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will reportedly feature roughly a one-year time jump, opening the door for some major changes when the story picks back up. Fans also have the return of Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios to look forward to, marking the character's first appearance in the revival after sitting out the first two seasons.
Then there’s the return of Wilson Fisk, along with the arrival of Lady Muse as the season’s primary antagonist. One fan perfectly captured the excitement surrounding Fisk’s return, saying:
“I’m looking forward to seeing a broken Kingpin that has no power. Seeing him outside of New York for the first time was an excellent idea of an actual prison for him. Each time he went to jail, he only kept his power, and now he has nothing.”
Marvel seems determined to keep refining Daredevil’s look as the series continues, and whether fans embrace this latest redesign or continue asking for a more comic-inspired costume, it's certainly given everyone something to debate while waiting for the next season.
So what do you think? Does Daredevil’s newest MCU suit work for you, or would you rather see Marvel finally give Matt Murdock the classic all-red costume straight from the comics?
