First Look at DC's Upcoming DEATHSTROKE Animated Series
Last week it was announced that DC was developing a new animated series for The CW Seed called Deathstroke, who is a fan favorite DC character. Now, today we have an official piece of art from the series showing us the design for Slade Wilson a.k.a Deathstroke and as you can see, he is fighting off HIVE agents in a tropical forest.
The image came with the following caption: “No mercy…Deathstroke is coming soon to CW Seed.”
There are a lot of stories to pull from for Deathstroke to bring to life in this animated series. We just don’t know what stories they will end up telling or who will be voicing the character.
The Deathstroke series is said to be in the same vein as Vixen and The Ray, which are the other animated shows that have been developed for The CW Seed. Those shows used actors that also played the live-action versions of the characters in the CW series, so we assume that might be the case with Deathstroke.
A lot of fans seem to assume that Manu Bennett, who played the character in The CW's Arrowverse will reprise his role in the animated series, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
