First Look at Hulu's ROMEO & JULIET Romantic Comedy Reimagining ROSALINE Starring Kaitlyn Dever
20th Century Studios has released a few first-look photos for its upcoming romantic comedy reimagining of Romeo & Juliet, which is titled Rosaline.
The film stars Kaitlyn Dever (Dopesick, Booksmart) ,and the story is “told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline (Dever), who also happens to be Romeo’s recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo (Kyle Allen) meets Juliet (Isabela Merced) and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy.”
The movie also stars Sean Teale (Skins), Minnie Driver (Speechless, Grosse Pointe Blank), and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing, Get Out,The Handmaid’s Tale).
I’m actually looking forward to this movie as the script comes from Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who also wrote (500) Days of Summer, which is a movie I loved. The film is an adaption of the novel When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle.
The movie was directed by Karen Maine (Yes, God, Yes), and it was produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levin.
The movie will premiere on Hulu on October 14th.
