Earlier this year it was announced that Attack The Block actress Jodie Whittaker would be taking on the thirteenth iteration of The Doctor in the long-running BBC series Doctor Who. Some fans loved to see a woman version of The Doctor, while others weren't very happy with the change. Regardless of what you think, it's happening, and the first official photo has been released featuring Jodie Whittaker in the new outfit that she'll be sporting!

I think she looks great! I'm actually looking forward to seeing Whittaker as The Doctor. It will definitely give the show a fresh and fun vibe. All that really matters to me is that they continue to tell good stories! As long as the adventures of The Doctor continue to entertain... I'll be happy!

Capaldi is set to appear one last time as The Doctor for the show’s 2017 Christmas Special, which will see the debut of Whittaker in the role and is titled “The Doctors.”
