We’ve got a first look photo for you guys to check out of John Boyega (Attack the Block, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) from the upcoming dramatic thriller, Naked Singularity. The film was written by Chase Palmer, who wrote the screenplay for It, along with David Matthews, who worked on Boardwalk Empire and Narcos. Palmer is also in the directors chair for the film, which marks his directing debut. The story is based on the novel A Naked Singularity written by Sergio De La Paya.

The film also stars Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel, Ready Player One), Ed Skrein (Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel), Bill Skarsgard (Deadpool 2, It & It: Chapter 2), and Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou, Watchmen).

Here’s the synopsis:

“Naked Singularity” centers on a rising star in the New York public defenders’ office (Boyega) who starts to question the criminal justice system after losing a case that results in his suspension. Doubting all he has worked for, and on the edge of a mental breakdown, his life unravels as he is pulled into a high-stakes heist by a unpredictable young defendant (Cooke).

This is a crazy good cast, and an intriguing story. I am really interested in checking out this movie when it comes out. There is no release date yet, but the film is currently in post-production, so we should hear more soon. Are you interested in watching Naked Singularity?
