First Look at Kate Winslet and Idris Elba in THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US
We're getting our first look at the novel-based drama The Mountain Between Us starring Kate Winslet and Idris Elba. In the images from USA Today, we see Winslet and Elba stranded together in the rugged icy wilderness after their plane crashes. Elba plays a surgeon (I wonder if that will come into play), and Winslet plays a photojournalist trying to get home for her wedding. As they try to survive after the crash the two become "close."
The movie is directed by Hany Abu-Assad (Paradise Now) and sounds a lot like the Liam Neeson film The Grey but with a romantic twist. Any kind of survival movie is usually pretty intense, but throw in a budding love story and it raises the stakes. What do you guys think?
The Mountain Between Us will hit theaters on 20 October.
