First Look at Kingpin’s Rugged Transformation in DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 3 Set Photos

As Daredevil: Born Again keeps charging toward the end of its second season, Marvel Studios isn’t slowing down. With just two episodes left before Season 2 wraps, production on Season 3 is already rolling, and set photos have started leaking online.

These early glimpses are giving fans plenty to chew on, including a surprising new look for Wilson Fisk that hints at where things are headed next.

The latest images, originally shared by Getty Images and circulated by the Daredevil Shots account, show Kingpin walking the streets of New York in a way we haven’t seen before.

Gone is the polished, political powerhouse image. Instead, Fisk is rocking a full beard, a heavy coat, and a red beanie. It’s a rougher, more grounded appearance that feels like a man who’s lost control and is figuring out his next move in life.

The photos also place him near campaign ads for Sheila Rivera, adding another layer to the shifting power dynamic in the city.

If there was any doubt about Fisk’s future, it’s fading fast. Between the trajectory of Season 2 and the hints dropped in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it looks like the era of Mayor Fisk is coming to an end.

His empire has been unraveling piece by piece, with resistance building against his Anti-Vigilante Task Force and the devastating loss of Vanessa pushing things even further off balance. With only a couple of episodes left this season, all signs point to a major downfall.

What comes next for New York is where things get interesting. Sheila Rivera is clearly being positioned as the city’s next leader. In Brand New Day, she’s seen presenting Spider-Man with the Key to the City, which suggests she’s already in office during those events.

That raises some questions about how Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again will line up with the film. Maybe Rivera steps in as interim mayor after Fisk’s collapse, or maybe she’s already campaigning for another term by the time Season 3 kicks off.

Her message is a stark contrast to Fisk’s rule. With a campaign centered around “Stronger Together,” Rivera seems focused on unity rather than control through fear. That likely means sweeping changes, including dismantling the Anti-Vigilante Task Force.

If Brand New Day is anything to go by, heroes like Spider-Man and Punisher are no longer operating in the shadows. They’re out in the open, and the city seems to be backing them.

Still, Fisk isn’t the type to disappear quietly. Even stripped of power, he’s still in New York, and that spells trouble. A version of Kingpin who’s no longer playing by political rules could be even more dangerous. Whether he leans back into his criminal network or starts building something new from the ground up, there’s a lot of story left to explore.

A big part of why fans are still invested in this character is because of Vincent D’Onofrio. His take on Fisk continues to be one of the most compelling villains in the MCU. Keeping him in the mix, especially in a more desperate and unpredictable state, feels like the right creative choice.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is shaping up to take the story in a very different direction.
