First Look at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD
Margot Robbie is sporting a new look for Harley Quinn in this photo from the set of director James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. This is our first look at the actress back in the character who recently appeared in DC’s Birds of Prey, which hasn’t been doing too well at the box office.
I’m sure that The Suicide Squad won’t be the last time we see Robbie in the role of Harley Quinn, but as Warner Bros. and DC move forward with the character, they need to start bringing in creative talent that knows how to handle the character properly.

When talking about coming in to work with James Gunn on The Suicide Squad, Robbie said:
"I can tell you that it's going to be incredible. And again, it's just interesting to see what a different filmmaker makes of Gotham and these characters and Harley, really. I'm fascinated by what James Gunn finds interesting in her compared to what [Birds of Prey director] Cathy [Yan] finds interesting, compared to what [Suicide Squad director] David [Ayer] found interesting about her. [James is] such a comic book lover, so it's going to be rooted in the source material, which is always important to me."
We don’t have any story details to share with you for the movie yet, but it has a great cast of actors that includes Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Pete Davidson as Savant, Flula Borg as Javalin, Sean Gunn is in the mo-cap suit as Weasel, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Mayling Ng as Mongol. The film also stars Idris Elba, John Cena, Nathan Fillion, Viola Davis, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalchian, Storm Reid, Taika Waititi, Juan Diego Botto, Joaquin Cosio, Tinashe Kajese, Jennifer Holland, Julio Ruiz, Alice Braga, and Steve Agee.
The Suicide Squad is set to open in theaters on August 6th, 2021.
