First Look At Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE #1
Doctor Strange is called the Sorcerer Supreme for a reason, but his upcoming series — and writer Jason Aaron — will look to raise the stakes in a significant way. A dark force is approaching, and it will take the Doctor embracing some new tricks in order to stop it, if he can stop it at all.
When the book was announced, I knew illustrator Chris Bachalo was the perfect fit for this character. After seeing the first pages (which you can view in the gallery above), I am confident I was right. The world of the supernatural is rife with possibilities in how it is presented on the page, and it should allow Bachalo to let loose with his "organized chaos" art style.
No launch would be complete without a few accompanying variants, so check out the latest batch above. While I do worry about the sheer number of variants for each of these books, there are some great ones here, including the always fantastic Skottie Young version as well as the great cover by Kevin Nowlan.
Doctor Strange #1 releases on October 7th.
