First Look at Mike Judge's BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD Revival and They Did Not Age Well
It was announced last year that Mike Judge was developing a Beavis and Butt-Head revival movie for Paramount+. Judge has released a first look at the designs for the middle-aged versions of the characters and as you’ll see, they did not age well at all. Judge included the following note with the art:
"Beavis and Butt-Head will be returning this year with a brand new movie and more on Paramount+. No exact date yet, but soon. They need some time to get back in shape."
It’s was previously explained that this film is designed as “a bridge between the old series and the reboot, setting up the storyline for the eventual series.”
When the series was first announced MTV Entertainment Group president Chris McCarthy said, "We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on adult animation at Comedy Central. Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can't wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own."
At the time of the announcement, Judge added: "It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again."
I grew up watching Beavis and Butthead, and after all these years I think it’s going to be fun to see these characters again at a very different point in their lives, especially as they are living in a very different world than the ‘90s.
