First Look at Miyavi as Byakuya Kuchiki in Live-Action BLEACH Film

The live-action adaptation of the popular anime and manga Bleach is headed for release on July 20, 2018. We got a trailer a couple weeks ago that showed real potential for the film and before that, we got a look at Hana Sugisaki as Rukia Kuchiki. Now we have a look at Rukia’s brother Byakuya, who will be played by Miyavi. He looks pretty good too. Even if the movie is terrible, I will have to admit that their costuming is incredible.

With the introduction of Byakuya, I think it’s safe to assume that there are two possible endpoints. The less likely of the two is the end of the Soul Society Arc. This would not be ideal because of how long it is. To get all the way through the Substitute Shinigami Arc and the Soul Society Arc would mean we lose a lot of information. I think the more likely option is the end of the Substitute Shinigami Arc when Byakuya and Renji Abarai take Rukia back to Soul Society. I could see them going a bit farther and maybe show Ichigo training and becoming a Soul Reaper again, but I would be shocked if they went to Soul Society by the end of the film. Where do you think the film will end?
