First Look at Netflix's ALTERED CARBON Anime Series and Premiere Date
Netflix has given us our first look at their upcoming Altered Carbon anime series, and as you’ll see from the three images, this thing looks like it’s going to be wild and violent. It was also revealed that the series will premiere on March 19th!
Altered Carbon is set in the same universe as the Netflix-live-action sci-fi series, and “will explore new elements of the story mythology.” The series is set in a world where death is a thing of the past and people now have the ability to transfer an individuals consciousness into a new body. The world has discovered immortality, but immortality comes with a price.
This is such a fascinating world and I love that Netflix and the creative team are getting to expand on it more. I have no idea if this series will connect directly to the story that the series is telling, but I don’t really care. I’m just excited that we are getting more Altered Carbon stories.
The series comes from the animation studio, Anima and will be written by Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) and Tsukasa Kondo.
