First Look at Netflix's Anime BLUE EYE SAMURAI From The Writer of LOGAN and BLADE RUNNER 2049

Netflix has released a poster for its upcoming original anime project Blue Eye Samurai, and this is our first look. The series was created by writer Michael Green, who previously worked on high-profile projects such as Logan and Blade Runner 2049, so we know the script and story is going to be solid.

The series centers on a samurai in Japan's Edo period who is out for revenge. Blue Eye Samurai will include an impressive voice cast that includes George Takei, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Masi Oka, Randall Park, Darren Barnet, and Brenda Song.

When the project was first announced, creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi shared in a statement: "Our story is a larger-than-life action-adventure that takes place 400 years ago, yet Blue Eye Samurai's themes are of the moment and the inspiration is deeply personal. We are grateful for Netflix's passion for this story and for their bold vision for sophisticated animated drama."

Producers also brought on Mulan director Jane Wu to help develop the series. Blue Eye Samurai will be released on November 3rd.
