First Look at Pixar's Upcoming Sci-Fi Space Adventure Film ELIO
We’ve got more stuff to share with you from Walt Disney Studio’s D23 Expo presentation! They shared a first look at an upcoming Pixar animated film titled Elio. This looks like it’s going to be a sci-fi space adventure!
The movie is being helmed by Coco director Adrian Molina, and it stars America Ferrera and Yonas Kibreab (Obi-Won Kenobi).
The story follows an 11-year-old boy (Kibreab) as he struggles to fit in at school. His life take a very interesting turn when he is transported across the galaxy and is mistaken for the intergalactic Ambassador for our Planet Earth. As you might imagine, this is quite an exciting adventure for Elio as he also meets all kinds of interesting characters.
Ferrera will play his mom, Olga. She is described as being “Super-confident, smart and can hold her own in any situation.” Farrera went on to say: “She’s a character who speaks to me in so many ways as a mother. And of course, with my advanced mathematical degree, I can finally put it to use. Don’t Google it.”
Brave's Mary Alice Drumm is producing the film.
