First Look at Samuel L Jackson as Mr. Glass in M. Night Shyamalan's GLASS

As you know, M. Night Shyamalan is currently shooting his new film Glass, which is a sequel to both Unbreakable and Split. Glass will bring an end to this superhero and supervillain trilogy.

Bruce WillisSamuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, and Anya Taylor-Joy are all set to reprise their roles in the movie. Thanks to a set photo that has surfaced, we now have our first look at Samuel L. Jackson back in the role of Mr. Glass!

He's sporting his classic purple outfit but this time his hair is much more grey. I've gotta say... it's pretty awesome seeing him back as this menacing character! I honestly never thought it would happen, so the fact that it is is pretty damn cool. Do you remember the final speech he made to David Dunn?

"Do you know what the scariest thing is? To not know your place in this world. To not know why you are here. That's... just an awful feeling. I almost gave up hope. There were so many times I questioned myself. But I found you... so many sacrifices, just to find you. Now that we know who you are, I know who I am. I'm not a mistake! It all makes sense. In a comic, you know how you can tell who the arch-villain's going to be?! He's the exact opposite of the hero, and most times they're friends like you and me! I should've known way back when. You know why, David?! Because of the kids!! They called me Mr. Glass."

He was then committed to an institution for the criminally insane. It will be interesting to see how his story picks up in Glass after all these years and where that story will lead him.

Here's the synopsis:

M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s UNBREAKABLE and last year’s SPLIT—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: GLASS. From UNBREAKABLE, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from SPLIT are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

Following the conclusion of SPLIT, GLASS finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.

Glass will be released in theaters in January 2019.
