First Look at Sylvester Stallone in Taylor Sheridan's Paramount+ Series TULSA KING
This is our first look at Sylvester Stallone as New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi in the upcoming Paramount+ series Tulsa King, which was previously titled Kansas City.
The series comes from Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1883, Mayor of Kingstown) and Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire). This is Stallone’s first major lead in a television series, and it seems like this is going to be a great project for him. The image shows Stallone standing in the middle of a city street looking sharp in his suit and looking stoic.
The story follows the New York City Italian mobster, who is forced to relocate to the most unlikely of places—Tulsa, Oklahoma, after spending 25 years in prison after being unceremoniously exiled by his boss. The series is set in present day, and the mobster is faced with the startling task of reestablishing his Italian mafia family to the modernized, straight-shooting town of Tulsa. There, Sal encounters surprising and unsuspecting characters who follow him along his unconventional path to power.
The series is set to premiere in fall 2022, and I’m looking forward to watching it.
