A first-look photo has been released from director Edgar Wright’s upcoming psychological horror flick, Last Night in Soho. The photo features actress Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit) looking especially terrified in the film Empire describes as a “mind-bending chiller.” The film was set to be released last year, before the pandemic setbacks, but its details are being kept tightly under wraps.

Wright, best known for writing and directing fun, and sometimes scary, movies like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Baby Driver, is going all in on this dark thriller, described as a “London-set film, that sees our central scream queen and burgeoning fashionista Eloise,” played by McKenzie, “make a mysterious connection with Anya Taylor-Joy’s 1960s starlet Sandy.”

That’s not a lot to go on plot-wise, but Wright is a director whose body of work stands on its own in my opinion, and the two main actresses are fantastic, so I cannot wait to see this movie. Check out the photo below, and watch Last Night in Soho when it hits theaters on April 23rd.
