First Look Clip at Sharlto Copley as Ted Kaczynski in TED K

Sharlto Copley (District 9) plays Ted Kaczynski a.k.a. the Unabomber, an American domestic terrorist, anarchist and former mathematics professor in a new film titled TED K. Today we have a first look clip at the film for you to watch. It looks like Copley is going to give a great performance.

The project is based on Ted Kaczynski’s diaries and writings, and those who knew him during his life in hiding. The film comes from director Tony Stone and the movie is described as “a kaleidoscopic true crime journey into the life of one of America’s most complex and eccentric killers. It features a tour-de-force performance from Sharlto Copley who portrays the complexity of this unique outsider, raging at the forces of both the inescapable technological society that plagues him and his own inner demons.”

The movie is also said to be a “uniquely authentic immersive experience.” Stone “used FBI photographs to forensically recreate his world in every detail. Stone built a recreation of Kaczynski’s cabin on its original site and terrain, and production made use of every structure and object that Kaczynski left behind as part of the 60 day shoot over four seasons in Montana. The film honoured the locals who knew and were affected by him, casting them in roles in the film as they contributed their personal anecdotes of that time. The cinematic experience is greatly enhanced by a knock out score by Blanck Mass, electronic music interrupting great classical baroque pieces, the Four Seasons of Vivaldi a personal favourite of our singular terrorist.”

TED K will screen in the Panorama section at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival. You can check out the clip below.
