First Look Clip at THE LAST VIDEO STORE Movie About a Cursed VHS Tape
A clip has been released for an upcoming horror movie titled The Last Video Store, which is said to be “a love letter to the era of the video store.” The movie centers around a cursed VHS tape that unleashes nightmarish and murderous terror. This clip is the first footage that’s been released for the film.
The story revolves around a character named Nyla, “who accidentally uncovers a ‘cursed’ VHS tape. A film holds the power to connect the real world to a dimension where movie fantasy exists as reality. Nyla and the video store owner unwittingly awaken a long-dormant curse that unleashes a series of classic cinematic villains plucked from the bowels of the B-movies themselves.”
The clip offers an explanation of the curse, and it looks like it’ll be a fun little indie horror flick! The film comes from directing duo Cody Kennedy and Tim Rutherford, who wrapped production on the movie in the Canadian port city of Hamilton.
