New Promo Poster Revealed For CREED 3 Featuring Michael B. Jordan Returning to the Role
A new promo poster has been revealed from the anticipated sequel, Creed III, featuring returning star Michael B. Jordan as Boxing Champion Donnie Creed. The new images were acquired by Collider, from the recent Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
In Creed II, Donnie Creed (Jordan) had to fight against Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the son of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren). Lundgren reprised his role of Ivan Drago from Rock IV, where he had a bloody history with Rocky, and was responsible for the death of Donnie’s father, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers).
We have not heard anything about the premise of the third Creed movie, but the first two were really fantastic, so I am ready for this new one to be released. Creed III is the first movie in the Rocky franchise not to feature Sylvester Stallone as the legendary boxer. He returned to reprise his most famed role in the Creed franchise, playing Donnie’s trainer and friend. I think these films are good enough to stand on their own, but I’m sure Stallone’s Rocky will also be missed.
The film marks the directorial debut of Michael B. Jordan, from a script written by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin. Creed III will see the return of Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, and Munteanu.
