First Look Photo From Disney's Animated Sequel MOANA 2
A first look photo has been released from the upcoming animated sequel, Moana 2. The new photo came during Disney's 2024 annual shareholders meeting. It features Moana sailing away on her boat with a familiar determined look. It was announced earlier this year that the project, which had originally been intended as a Disney+ sequel series, would be heading to theatres in the form of a second film.
Auli’i Cravalho is officially returning to voice Moana, and she joins Dwayne Johnson, who is also returning to voice Maui in the next chapter of their story. Alan Tudyk is also coming back to voice the chicken, Hei Hei. The film will be directed by Dave Derrick Jr., featuring music from Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa'i, and Mark Mancina.
The film’s initial synopsis reads:
After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana journeys to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she has ever faced.
Check out the new photo and get ready for another Moana adventure when Moana 2 is released in theaters on November 27, 2024.
