TED LASSO Season 4 First Look Photo Featuring Returning Cast and Plot Details
Ted Lasso is back, and we have a first look photo from the set of season 4 to get us pumped! Production has kicked off in Kansas City, with additional filming due to take place in London. It was previously reported that Jason Sudeikis would be returning as Ted Lasso for Season 4. Now, it is confirmed that original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift will all be back as well.
In addition, new cast members for the series include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. Exact character details for the newcomers are being kept under wraps, but it is known that Feely will take over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted’s son.
The official logline for Season 4 states, “Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
Jack Burditt has boarded Season 4 as executive producer under his new overall deal with Apple TV+. Sudeikis will executive produce in addition to starring. Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel also executive produce. Goldstein is attached to write and executive produce along with Leanne Bowen.
Bill Lawrence executive produces via his Doozer Productions alongside Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Sara Walker and Phoebe Walsh are writers and co-executive producers on the new season, with Sasha Garron co-producing.
Julia Lindon is a writer and Dylan Marron is story editor. Warner Bros. Television, where Doozer is under an overall deal, produces with Universal Television. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly and Hunt, and is based on the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports.
I am so excited for Ted Lasso to return! That show is just the shot of optimism we could all use right now.
