If you had any doubt that Tom Hanks was going to make a perfect Mr. Rogers in the upcoming film It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, I’ve got some pictures here for you to check out that may reassure you.

The film will be based on the true story of the friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. Rogers was, of course, the host of the children’s show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood that ran from 1968-2001. Mr. Rogers was a sweet and delightful man who taught generations of children about the world around them. I think Hanks is such a dream casting choice. He seems like such a kind person with the same softness to him that will make him easily slip into the role.
