First Look Photos For Alec Baldwin's Western Film RUST
Here’s a collection of official images for the Western film Rust from writer and director Joel Souza. The movie stars Alec Baldwin and this is the film that was shut down over a year ago after its star Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun during rehearsal that was unknowingly loaded with a real bullet that ended up killing the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The film’s production has dealt with multiple lawsuits from former members of the crew against the movie’s producers, leading to an investigation into alleged systemic safety issues on set. At present, only the film’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is facing charges. She has pleaded not guilty, with a case set to go to trial in February. Charges against Baldwin have been dropped.
Rust is based on a story developed by Souza and Baldwin, and it follows a “13-year-old boy, left to fend for himself and his younger brother following the death of their parents in 1880s Kansas, is taken on a violent, harrowing journey to old Mexico by his long-estranged grandfather after he’s sentenced to hang for the accidental killing of a local rancher.”
The new images were released by Deadline and there are two stills included that were filmed by Hutchins. Those include the image of actress Frances Fisher in the doorway, and the other is of the lone rider to the right of the screen.
One of the other photos features actor Patrick Scott McDermott, who plays the movie’s protagonist Lucas Hollister. Check out the photos below.
