First Look Photos From AMC's Series Adaptation of INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE
AMC has shared four new photos from their upcoming series adaptation of Anne Rice’s Interview With The Vampire. The photos feature Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt and Game of Thrones actor Jacob Anderson in the role of Louis de Pointe du Lac. Judging by the clothes and the setting, it looks like this part of the story is set at the turn of the 20th century in New Orleans.
Interview With the Vampire centers on the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac as he relates the story of his life to a reporter, in particular how he was turned into a vampire and then mentored by Lestat de Lioncourt.
AMC is looking to build a multiple-show universe around Anne Rice’s novels and Interview With the Vampire will launch it. The first season of the series will consist of seven episodes, and the plan is to launch the series in 2022.
Rolin Jones (Perry Mason) will serve as showrunner on the series. AMC veteran Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad, Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul/El Camino, Halt and Catch Fire and Rectify) will also executive produce alongside Jones. Johnson will also oversee the Vampire franchise. The late Anne Rice and her son Christopher Rice are also executive producers.
