First Look Promo Video for the Final Season of THE GOOD PLACE
I won’t lie, I’m kinda sad that The Good Place is coming to an end. This has been such a wonderful and enjoyably strange series to watch. But the good thing is the show is ending on its own terms. NBC did not cancel it, the creator, Michael Schur, just thought it was time to bring the story to a close.
NBC has released a little featurette giving us our first look at the fourth and final season, and it takes us behind-the-scenes and teases what we can expect. The cast and crew talk about the series, it offers us a reminder of what happened at the end of Season 3 and gives us a little glimpse at what is coming in the finale.
One thing I love about the series is how it’s always reinventing itself and going in completely different directions that no one sees coming! It’s such a fun and unique show! When previously talking about bringing it to an end, Schur said:
“I began to feel like four seasons, just over 50 episodes, was the right lifespan. At times over the past few years we’ve been tempted to go beyond four seasons, but mostly because making this show is a rare, creatively fulfilling joy, and at the end of the day, we don’t want to tread water just because the water is so warm and pleasant. As such, the upcoming fourth season will be our last. I will be forever grateful to NBC and Universal TV for letting us make The Good Place, and for letting us end it on our own schedule. I will also be forever grateful to the creative team, both on-screen and off, for their hard work and dedication to a very weird idea.”
The final season of The Good Place begins on September 26th.
