First Photos and Synopsis For Universal's Upcoming DOOM: ANNIHILATION Movie
Last year it was announced that Universal Pictures was developing a new film adaptation of Doom. The movie is called Doom: Annihilation and it is going to be a direct Home Entertainment release. We have our first look at the film thanks to some photos that have surfaced at Dread Central. They also offered a synopsis for the film!
DOOM: ANNIHILATION follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.
The report goes on to say that the “space marines” in the synopsis are also 100% confirmed to be UAC marines, who are the same team from the game franchise.
The film stars Amy Manson (Atlantis), Dominic Mafham (Ophelia), Luke Allen-Gale (Dominion), and Nina Bergman (The Car: Road to Revenge).
The movie was written and directed by Tony Giglio (Chaos, Timber Falls) and was executive produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Bumblebee).
Universal’s 1440 Entertainment is said to be releasing the film in the Fall of 2019.
