First Photos Released for Zoe Kravitz's HIGH FIDELITY Hulu Series

As we’ve already reported, Disney is developing a new series adaptation of Nick Hornby's 1995 novel High Fidelity. The book was previously adapted into a fantastic film that starred John Cusack, and while this series will be different, it will be in the authentic spirit of the original source material.

Zoe Kravitz is starring in the project and today we’ve got a couple of photos to share with you giving us our first look at the actress in the role. Here’s the synopsis that was shared for the series:

A departure from Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel and beloved 2000 film, Hulu’s High Fidelity centers on Rob (Zoë Kravitz, who also serves as an executive producer), a female record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love.

It’s also been explained that Kravitz will talk straight to the camera as she chronicles past relationships like in the original movie. As a fan of the book and the movie, I really hope that this series adaptation turns out to be good.

The series was originally supposed to air on Disney+, but as the series became a bit more mature, Disney felt Hulu would be a better home for it.

The 10-episode series is being developed by writers Veronica West and Sarah Kucserka (Bull, Ugly Betty). The co-writer of the feature film Scott Rosenberg will also serve as a producer on the series.

All 10 episodes of High Fidelity arrive on Hulu on February 14, 2020. Will you be watching it?
