First Photos From MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS Show Off the Star-Studded Cast
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a slew of photos to share with you from director Kenneth Branagh's upcoming film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s acclaimed mystery novel, Murder on the Orient Express.
First published in 1934, and inspired by Christie’s journeys on the real-life luxury locomotive which then ran between Istanbul and Paris, the book finds Poirot investigating a fatal stabbing. With the Orient Express marooned in a snowdrift and the murderer trapped on the train, Poirot interrogates a dozen or so suspects before gathering them together to hear him solve the case.

They give us our first look at the star-studded cast that includes Branagh as detective Hercule Poirot, Johnny Depp as Ratchett, Michelle Pfeiffer is Mrs. Hubbard, Daisy Ridley as Mary Debenham, Judi Dench as Princess Dragomiroff, Lucy Boynton as Countess Andrenyi, Tom Bateman as Bouc, Derek Jacobi as Masterman, Michael Peņa is Marquez, Josh Gad is Hector McQueen, Willem Dafoe as Mr. Hardman, Leslie Odom Jr. as Doctor Arbuthnot, and Penelope Cruz takes on an unknown role.
I actually got to see some footage of the film at CinemaCon and I really liked what they showed off. You can watch our video reaction of what we saw here. I think this is going to be a great film that has potential to be a huge success. I'm such a big fan of this story, and the cast they managed to bring together to tell it is pretty incredible. They all look great in their roles as well!
Murder on the Orient Express is set to open in theaters on November 10, 2017.
