This week, we’ve gotten to hear lots of really cool reports from the Annecy International Animation Festival in France. Once thing that is super cool is the first piece of character artwork that Netflix shared at their panel for the upcoming Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama (Ultraman) are set to direct, and newcomer Ilya Kuvshinow will head up animation and character design for the series.

Variety reports the following about the series:

The series will be the first time the IP will be fully-animated in 3DCG. Kamiyama and Production I.G will team up with Aramaki and Sola Digital Arts, who have brought Japanese 3DCG animation to the world on work such as 2004’s “Appleseed.” The Netflix reboot also marks the first time that the franchise will have two directors shaping its execution.

We don’t know much more about the series yet, but we will let you know when we do. Enjoy the picture below and let us know if you’re excited for the series.
