First Poster for DC's JOKER and the Trailer Is Coming Tomorrow!

Warner Bros. has released the first poster for DC’s upcoming Joker movie featuring Joaquin Phoenix as the title character. The question is, does it put smile on your face? If it doesn’t, maybe the fact that the first trailer for the film is being released tomorrow will!

Yep, tomorrow we will get our first real look at what we can expect to see from the Todd Phillips-directed movie, and I hope that what we see brings the awesomeness!

Joker centers around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Joker is set in the ‘80s and is "meant to be different from other comic book superhero movies." The story is also said to "delve into what it took for the Joker to become a mastermind criminal," and rumor has it that the film’s story will revolve around a Arthur Fleck, a failed comedian whose failures lead him into a life of crime.

When previously talking about the film, Phoenix said:

“I wouldn’t quite classify this as like any genre. I wouldn’t say it’s a superhero movie, or a studio movie or a … It feels unique, and I think more then anything, and probably the most important thing, is Todd seems very passionate about it and very giving, and so that’s exciting. I think, underneath the excitement of these films, and the size of them, there are these incredible characters that are dealing with real life struggles. And sometimes that is uncovered and exposed, and sometimes it isn’t, and so I always felt, like, there were characters in comics that were really interesting and deserve the opportunity to be kind of studied. And so I think that’s what Todd sees appealing about this idea."

The film also stars Robert De NiroZazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, and Marc Maron.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4th, 2019.
