First Poster for the New SAW Film JIGSAW Wants You To Become Jigsaw
The first poster has been released for the next film in the Saw franchise. It was recently revealed that the film would be called Jigsaw, after the crazed killer that made the horror franchise famous. This is the eighth Saw film and it comes seven years after the last film, Saw: The Final Chapter, which obviously wasn't the final chapter.
Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade. Or has an apprentice picked up the mantle of Jigsaw, perhaps even someone inside the investigation?
Franchise star Tobin Bell is set to return to the franchise in some capacity. He will actually be at San Diego Comic-Con doing autographs. I imagine we'll end up getting our first trailer at the convention. The movie also stars Laura Vandervoort (Bitten, Smallville) and Hannah Anderson (Shoot the Messenger, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax).
Jigsaw is being directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Daybreakers) from a script by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D, Sorority Row). It will arrive in theaters just ahead of Halloween on October 27th.
