First Preview For Anime Adaptation of Iconic Manga BERSERK Appears Online
The newest adaptation of Berserk appeared online today, and the reception has been mixed. The manga has been a bestseller and award winner, most noted for its graphic violence and sexual content. The manga itself touches on the morality of humanity and good and evil. We follow a lone mercenary named Guts and his time in this land. The preview can be found below:
The response from the anime community on the web has been all over the place. For the most part, I read people say the preview looks low budget and cheap in some parts, but others say they like the gritty art style. Overall, most people are excited about this new series, but are concerned it won't "push enough limits." Apparently the manga is pretty dark and, while I didn't go into it, a lot of people are wondering if the "rape horse" will be in the series. Sounds pretty brutal.
