Attention Stephen King fans! Epix has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series Chapelwaite, which is based on King’s story Jerusalem’s Lot. Adrien Brody stars in the series, which is a prequel to Salam’s Lot, and this teaser offer a first look at him in his role and it looks like it’s gonna be a great and creepy show!

The story is set in the 1850s, and it follows Captain Charles Boone (Brody) “who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.”

When previously talking about the series co-star Emily Hampshire said, "It's based on the short story by Stephen King that was the prequel to Salem's Lot. I'm just so excited about it, because I love wearing corsets. It is set in 1850, and to go from Stevie's [on Schitt's Creek's] plaids to this out of her time, educated woman in 1850 wearing corsets, is the most exciting thing ever. I love it.”

Epix president Michael Wright also previously shared, “This series is an intense, absolutely terrifying reimagining of classic gothic horror.”

Donald De Line is producing and he previously brought us Ready Player One and Wayward Pines. The series is set to premiere on Epix in August.
