First Teaser Trailer for Netflix's New GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 Anime Series

Netflix has given us our first look at their upcoming Ghost in the Shell: Sac_2045 anime series in the form of a brief teaser trailer. It’s doesn’t give us much, but it does show off the animation style of the series, which is different from anything I’ve seen from the Ghost in the Shell franchise in the past.

The series is set in the year 2045, and “after global capitalism has defaulted, Japan's elite Section 9 begins conducting covert cyber operations.”

The series will be directed by Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ultraman), and newcomer Ilya Kuvshinow is heading up the animation and character design for the series.

The new Ghost in the Shell anime is confirmed to have two seasons so far with 12 episodes planned for each. We don’t have any other info to share on the series right now, but check out the teaser below and let us know if you like what you see.
