First Trailer and Poster for Modern BREAKFAST CLUB Movie THE CLASS Featuring Anthony Michael Hall

The first trailer and poster was released for the movie The Class, which is described as a "modern reimagining of The Breakfast Club." Of course, the original movie wouldn’t make sense retold in 2022 word for word. Despite its issues, I grew up watching The Breakfast Club, and I was annoyed to see it was sort of remade. But after watching the trailer, I think they did a good job of taking the idea of the first movie and really changing it up for The Class. Teenagers are so much different now from forty years ago, so it’s nice to see a brand new story about this generation.

The film stars Charlie Gillepsie (Julie and the Phantoms), Lyric Ross (This is Us), Hanna Kepple (Cobra Kai), Juliette Celozzi (Shattered), Colin McCalla (Ruthless), and newcomer Michael Sebastian as the students. They are joined by ‘80s pop star Debbie Gibson as their teacher, as well as The Breakfast Club stars Anthony Michael Hall (16 Candles, Edward Scissorhands) as the principal, and John Kapelos, who played the janitor in the original movie.

Here’s the synopsis:

In this homage to The Breakfast Club, a group of high school seniors are forced to spend a Saturday at school completing an exam they either missed taking or failed. By the end of the day, they find their own values, betrayals and love within themselves and their classmates.

The Class is both written and directed by Nicholas Celozzi (Deep Cover). Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch The Class in select US theaters and on VOD on September 9th.
