First Trailer For Cameron Crowe and J.J. Abrams' Showtime Series ROADIES

Showtime has unveiled the first trailer for its new music series Roadies, the first TV show written, created, directed, and executive produced by Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Fast Times at Ridgemont High). Here's the official description:

Roadies gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of “roadies” who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. The series chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and pays homage to the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring the United States for the successful arena-level group, The Staton-House Band.

Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots (The Look of Love), Rafe Spall (One Day), Academy Award® nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles), Colson Baker a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly (Beyond the Lights) and Ron White (Blue Collar Comedy Tour) star in the ensemble cast. Luis Guzman (Boogie Nights), Jacqueline Byers (The Strain), Finesse Mitchell (Saturday Night Live), Branscombe Richmond (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Tanc Sade (Matador, Gilmore Girls) guest star. J.J. Abrams is executive producing alongside Crowe and writer Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life, Wicked).

I'm glad to see Crowe getting back to what he loves — music — after Aloha, and this looks like such a cool series that I might actually have to subscribe to Showtime to check it out. The music sounds great, too — that's Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder performing "Hard Sun" in the background.

Roadies premieres Sunday, June 26th, at 10pm.

Don't miss the premiere of Roadies on Sunday June 26th at 10PM ET/PT on SHOWTIME. Roadies gives an insider's look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of "roadies" who live for music and the de facto family they've formed along the way.
