First Trailer for DEATH ON THE NILE - Kenneth Branagh Is Back as Detective Hercule Poirot
20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for the new film adaptation of Agatha Christie's murder mystery story Death on the Nile. The film is a sequel to Murder on the Orient Express, and Kenneth Branagh is back to direct and once again star as detective Hercule Poirot.
Branagh is joined by an all-star cast of murder suspects that include Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright. Here’s the synopsis:
Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot's Egypt vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.
I love a good whodunit murder mystery, and Agatha Christie told some great stories! I enjoyed Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, and I’ve been looking forward to his take on Death on the Nile. This is a solid trailer, and it looks like we are in for another good movie!
Death on the Nile will be released in theaters starting on October 23rd. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think!
