First Trailer For GET SHORTY Series Doesn't Look Half Bad

I'll state right now that I was never a huge fan of the film Get Shorty, and I really liked this trailer. Granted, I'm also a big fan of Chris O'Dowd and Ray Romano so that helps, but I think this series has a chance to elevate beyond the novel and 1995 film that preceded it. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think. Get Shorty premieres on Epix beginning August 13th.

Based on Elmore Leonard's 1990 New York Times bestselling novel, GET SHORTY is the story of Miles Daly, played by Chris O'Dowd, who works as muscle for a murderous crime ring in Nevada and attempts to change professions and become a movie producer, laundering money through a Hollywood film.
