First Trailer For Marvel's Hulu Series HELSTROM and Comic-Con@Home Virtual Panel
The first trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Hulu series Helstrom premiered during the Comic-Con@Home virtual panel. The series looks like it’ll be a solid series that is set in the darker and more gritty side of the Marvel universe.
The supernatural thriller series centers around Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, as they pursue the vilest of the vile of humanity, each with their own unique skills. They will also be dealing with some family drama of their own.
The panel brings together showrunner Paul Zbyszewski and cast members Tom Austen, Sydney Lemmon, Elizabeth Marvel, Robert Wisdom, Ariana Guerra, June Carryl, and Alain Uy. The panel starts off with some heavy political talk, but after that, they show off the trailer and then the cast and crew get into the series and what they are looking to bring to it. It’s explained that this series was inspired by Marvel’s Son of Satan comic book story arc.
The series is based on the characters created by Roy Thomas and Gary Friedrich; Daimon Hellstrom debuted in the pages of Ghost Rider #1 in 1973. The show was created and executive produced by Paul Zbyszewski along with Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb.
The 10-episode first season drops on Hulu on October 16th. The trailer starts at the 13:36 mark in the video below. Check out the trailer and panel below and let us know what you think.
