First Trailer For Netflix's F1 Motor Racing Biopic Series SENNA
Netflix has released a first trailer for its upcoming F1 motor racing biopic series Senna, which features Gabriel Leone as race car driver Ayrton Senna.
Senna is a new six-part limited series “inspired by the life, career and relationships of the greatest Brazilian driver of all times.”
The trailer focuses on Senna’s historic victory at the 1991 Brazilian Grand Prix in Interlagos, following a challenging race where his car was mostly stuck in sixth gear. It’s also the race where he won in his hometown of Sao Paulo for the first time.
As you’ll see in the trailer, as he is racing, his thoughts are filled with experiences that he’s had leading up to that race. The series will take us through his life and career and how the three-time F1 champion rose to the top to become the best before he tragically died in 1994.
Senna also stars The Gentlemen’s Kaya Scodelario, whose mother is Brazillian. It also stars Alice Wegmann as Lilian Vasconcelos, Ayrton’s first wife; Camila Márdila as Vivianne Senna, his sister; Christian Malheiros as Maurinho, his friend; Gabriel Louchard as Galvão Bueno, and Hugo Bonemer as Nelson Piquet.
Other cast members include Julia Foti as Adriane Galisteu; Marco Ricca as “Maurão” Senna, his father; Nicolas Cruz as Leonardo Senna, his brother; Rodrigo Veloso as Flavio, brother-in-law; and Susana Ribeiro as Zaza Senna, his mother.
Vicente Amorim serves as showrunner and co-director on the series alongside Julia Rezende. The series is coming later 2024.
