First Trailer For Roland Emmerich’s WWII Action Film MIDWAY

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for director Roland Emmerich’s upcoming World War II action movie Midway. The film “is an epic telling of the Battle of Midway, a turning point in the Pacific theater of World War II. The story follows the real soldiers and aviators who pulled off the unbelievable to turn the tide of the war in June 1942.”

I’m a sucker for war movies and this actually looks better than I thought it would. I’m not a fan of Emmerich’s recent work, but I’ll give this movie a shot. Mostly because of the impressive cast that it has.

The cast of Midway includes Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) as Admiral Edwin Layton, Luke Evans (The Alienist, Beauty and the Beast) as Commander Wade McClusky, Woody Harrelson (Solo: A Star Wars Story) as Admiral Chester Nimitz, Mandy Moore (This Is Us) and Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), and co-stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle), Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow), Keean Johnson (Alita: Battle Angel) and Tadanobu Asano (Thor, 47 Ronin).

Midway will fly into theaters on November 8th.
