If you’re a fan of director Gareth Evans’s The Raid films, you’ll definitely want to check out the first trailer for his upcoming crime drama series Gangs of London, which is coming to Sky Atlantic and Cinemax. I loved The Raid movies. They are easily two of the best action films that have ever been made, and this new series looks like it’s going to have its fair share of brutal action.
This looks like it’s going to be a great, action-packed revenge thriller, and this is the synopsis that offers us some story details:
When the head of a criminal organization, Finn Wallace is assassinated, the sudden power vacuum his death creates threatens the fragile peace between the intricate web of gangs operating on the streets of the city. Now it’s up to the grieving, volatile and impulsive Sean Wallace to restore control and find those responsible for killing his father.
The series stars Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror-Hang the DJ) as Sean Wallace, Michelle Fairley (Games of Thrones), Colm Meaney (Star Trek) as Finn Wallace, Sope Dirisu (The Huntsman: Winter’s War), and Lucian Msamati (Doctor Who, Taboo).
The series was created by Gareth Evans, and it will debut in the UK on Sky Atlantic and in the US on Cinemax.
