First Trailer for THE GLORIAS Starring Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander
The first trailer has been released for the upcoming film, The Glorias. The movie follows the life of iconic feminist writer and activist Gloria Steinem, portrayed by Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Lulu Wilson, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. This film comes on the heels of the limited series Mrs. America, that hit FX this past spring that saw Rose Byrne as the women’s rights leader.
Moore plays Steinem in her adult years, with the iconic glasses, and the launch of Ms. magazine, which put her in the spotlight for better or worse. The film pulls from her 2015 autobiography, My Life On the Road, and was adapted by Sarah Ruhl and Julie Taymor, who directed as well.
The rest of the cast includes Bette Midler as Bella Abzug, Janelle Monae as Dorothy Pitman Hughes, Kimberly Guerrero as Wilma Mankiller, and Lorraine Toussaint as Flo Kennedy. Check out the trailer below, and watch The Glorias on digital and streaming exclusively on Prime Video on September 30th.
