First Trailer For THE PURGE TV Series - "Let The Fun Begin!"
We've been hearing about this TV series based on The Purge for some time now and now USA Network has released the first trailer showing us what's in store for the series, and it's pretty much just more of the same. There's a bunch of people enjoying murdering people during The Purge and a bunch of people trying to survive and fight for their lives.
Based on the hit movie franchise from Blumhouse Productions, The Purge revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Set in an altered America ruled by a totalitarian political party, the series follows several seemingly unrelated characters living in a small city. As the clock winds down, each character is forced to reckon with their past as they discover how far they will go to survive the night.
The Purge is written and executive produced by the film franchise creator James DeMonaco and led by producer Jason Blum. Additionally, the entire team behind the blockbuster franchise are on board to executive produce which includes Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Anthony Hemingway (Red Tails) will direct the premiere episode.
