First Trailer For the Sci-Fi Comedy UPLOAD Introduces Us To The Digital Afterlife; From The Creator of THE OFFICE
The creator of The Office and King of the Hill, Greg Daniels, has created a new sci-fi comedy series for Amazon titled Upload, and the first trailer has been released for it. The story centers around a dying man, played by Robbie Amell, whose consciousness ends up being uploaded into a virtual reality environment, in a digital afterlife.
This actually looks like a great and funny show worth checking out! I enjoyed this first trailer, and this is the synopsis that was shared:
From Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) comes Upload, a new sci-fi comedy. In the near future, people who are near death can be “uploaded” into virtual reality environments. Cash-strapped Nora works customer service for the luxurious “Lakeview” digital afterlife. When party-boy/coder Nathan’s car crashes, his girlfriend uploads him into Nora’s VR world.
Daniels has a talent for creating great comedic entertainment, and he’s also developing that Netflix Space Force series with Steve Carell. I’ll be looking forward to watching this show. The first season will consist of ten episodes and it will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video on May 1, 2020.
