First Trailer For THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 Asks if We Really Know Our Pets
Who’s ready for some more fun animal hijinks!? Illumination Entertainment has released the first trailer for The Secret Life of Pets 2 and it asks us if we really know our pets.
The movie stars Patton Oswalt, who replaces original star Louis C.K. as the main character. It also features the voices of Jenny Slate, Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet, Tiffany Haddish, Nick Kroll, Pete Holmes, and Harrison Ford lending his voice to a cartoon character for the very first time.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t really care for the first movie, but it made a lot of money because the kids loved it! This first trailer offers a comedic look at what a bunch on animals are thinking as that are in the waiting room of a veterinarians office.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.

The Secret Life of Pets 2, which comes from returning director Chris Renaud and writer Brian Lynch, is set to be released in theaters on June 7, 2019.
