Five Character Posters For THE MUPPETS Series
Five character posters have been released for ABC’s upcoming The Muppets series and they feature Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and Gonzo. I like the concept of this series, and I enjoyed what I saw in the 10 minute pitch presentation that you can watch here. The series has so much potential, and I hope it's not wasted.
Shot in a verity/”The Office”-esque handheld style, “The Muppets” is a mockumentary chronicling the day-to-day duties of the Kermit and co. during production of “Up Late with Miss Piggy,” a late-night talk show starring Miss Piggy. Unlike the recent kid-centric Disney movies, the new show will feature more of the meta adult humor the characters were famous for during their heyday in the ’70s.
Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) and Bob Kushell (The Simpsons) co-created the show, which will air Tuesdays at 8pm/7c beginning September 22nd.
