Five Friends Have Been Playing a Game of Tag For 30 Years in Trailer For TAG with Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm

For those of you who are upset about Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye not getting enough love in the marketing for Avengers: Infinity War, don't worry, he's all over the trailer for his new comedy Tag

The film is based on a true story about a group of friends played by Renner, Jon Hamm, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, and Ed Helms, who have been playing a 30-year game of tag. Jeremy Renner is the one person in their group that has never been "it"; he has never been tagged. After he announces his retirement from the game, his friends give one last shot to try and tag him.

The movie looks incredibly silly, but it also looks like it could be a fun comedy. I love the cast that they brought together for the film, and I'm sure it will deliver the entertainment. Jeremy Renner has always played a badass in the films that he's been in, and it's funny to see this film take that element of the actor and implement it into a game of tag. Here's the synopsis:

For one month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they’ve been playing since the first grade—risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take each other down with the battle cry: “You’re It!” This year, the game coincides with the wedding of their only undefeated player, which should finally make him an easy target. But he knows they’re coming…and he’s ready. Based on a true story, the New Line Cinema comedy “Tag” shows how far some guys will go to be the last man standing.

Tag was directed by Jeff Tomsic and also stars Isla Fisher, Rashida Jones, Leslie Bibb, and Annabelle Wallis. The movie is set to hit theaters on June 15, 2018.
